Marry me.

Tuesday, January 6th, 2009

There are some days when I’m convinced, marriage just isn’t in my future. It’s not a pessimism in me or anything like that, but rather, I just don’t feel like I’ll ever be completely 100% settled on the person I’ve chosen to date long enough to allow myself to be proposed to.

And then there are days like today, when I find (collectively) $0.28 throughout the day and read art and design blogs until I find this, my engagement ring. To the man who wants to marry me - if you really do, put this around my neck, rather than a ring around my finger (I’ll wear a ribbon instead, who cares.):

Pentax LX Gold

That’s how I’ll know you really love me.

The Inside Light

Monday, December 8th, 2008

The Inside Light is a project created through collaboration between Cinco and Chris Hornbecker and it’s both beautiful and brilliant. They asked some incredibly talented artists in Portland to sum up their drive, inspiration, intuition, or whatever it was inside them that drove their work, in one word. Then, they shone the light on them in such a way that when photographed, reflected from their eyes. I wish I’d come up with it myself.

The Inside Light Fucking Positive
The Inside Light Play
The Inside Light Surrender

I don’t care.

Found and found.

I went clicking through a bunch of random blogs last night, just for the heck of it and came across a few I’ll be sure to bookmark. They have pictures and paragraphs that say what I’ve thought or felt about so many things, but never said out loud or been able to capture. Or they’re otherwise, just great. Here are a few:
