New Resolution

About:

“2 1/2-months-to-new-year’s-resolutions resolutions

Not so normal resolutions at a not so traditional time.

Goals, aims, things to do, things to not do, all with as little words as possible. You might agree, you might disagree, you might relate, or you might not.

This is no art. It’s a piece of fun, with a pinch of seriousness, but some of you seem to like it anyway.”

be free

Get into it. I am. 100%.

For anyone who’s ever felt broken…

…they’ll totally understand exactly what this person is talking about (Please Note: I am not sad, depressed, lonely, etc. right now. I just find these pieces to be incredibly heartfelt and relatable. There have been times when I’ve felt this way, and thought I’d never feel any other way, but not right now. I just admire the pure, simple emotion expressed here.)

I made this last Friday for our weekly Freebie Friday giveaway. And today I noticed it had been linked to on Confessions of a Casting Director (where we got the AH-mazing shirt from)!!

LOVE IT!
I wish I could find graphics I’ve made linked to on other sites!

It’s about time for one of those NYLON graphics posts.

It’s been a while. I’ve been internally debating whether or not to pick up this practice again, posting all the graphics that I make while at NYLON. Since previously I was only an intern and was there just 2 days a week, there weren’t quite so many of them to post as there are now, being that I’m all 9-5 full-timin’ and stuff. So instead, here are a few of the graphics I’ve made so far in my first 3 weeks on the job, a few I’m especially proud of.

Why yes, my new job is going swell, thanks.

A week and a half on the job, and I’m still loving my new position at NYLON designing graphics, e-newsletters, youtube skins, ads, blah blah blah. Yes, I like what I do, and yes, I do truly believe that it’s better to be happy 24 hours/day than to work your butt off half that time and make more money, but be half as happy. This works for me right now, and I encourage everyone I know (or don’t know yet - thanks for reading my blog even though we’ve never met, i love you) to find something similarly as comfortable. Imagine how much different the world would be if everyone was happy at their job.
