Brooklyn + Philadelphia + adorable jewelry with a statement = Brookadelphia.

I am super glad I stumbled across this company. They caught my eye on the Etsy homepage with a recently added gold “vote.” necklace.

Aside from this cute necklace (also available in silver by the way), there are earrings like these:

and necklaces like these:

So really, what’s NOT to love about them?

Something I got at NYLON.

Wednesday, August 27th, 2008

At NYLON, we get a lot of stuff in the office – makeup, lotions, CDs, books, shoes, random attire, blah, blah, etc. Some of, quite frankly, is complete crap, and gets instantly thrown onto the freebie table, most likely never to be seen again, or maybe potentially be snagged by an intern. Luckily, last week, I was pleasantly surprised by this company Riot Tuxedo. They sent me over two shirts from their current collection and they are organic cotton, super soft, and so extremely tre cool.

I got this one:

and this one:

So we gratefully blogged about the company on NYLON here. Check them out. Their shirts are awesomeeeeee.

St. Tropez Leisure Camera Print Swimsuit with Adjustable Straps

Thursday, August 14th, 2008

Dear St. Tropez Leisure,
I’m obsessed with your Camera Print Swimsuit with Adjustable Straps. This bathing suit is too cute. I know, I know. I like it because it has a camera on it, a screenprinted camera nonetheless. It’s beautiful and perfect and sooooo me. But far too expensive for my budget even if that price was in dollars, not pounds!

Someday St. Tropez, someday.

Love,
Kelly

Happy Friday!

I forgot to mention this way back when I was there and it happened. I got to “model” for NYLON‘s website one time. Click the image to read about why on Earth I did this and what I was wearing and to see more images of myself and my fellow model staffers!

Fred Flare Tree Necklace

Friday, April 11th, 2008

I recently bought this gold plated tree necklace from Fred Flare and think it’s one of the best purchases ever.

With tons of photos from the NYU Dinner Cruise last week as evidence, I can’t stop myself from wearing it. See, for example, the picture of Sharn and I, taken by the lovely Phoebe Chan.

Vivian at the Progressive Book Club asked if it was the Tree of Life, but I never read anything in the product description saying it was. It’s still darn pretty no matter what kind of tree it’s supposed to be!
